WaysToHelp

Ways YOU can help!

Volunteers and donations are the lifeblood of efforts like Sharing the Harvest. Here’s how you can help the roughly 200 families who reach out weekly for assistance. We’re #NotJustAFoodPantry.

Time

Show up any Tuesday or Thursday morning between 8am and noon to:

  • Unload, organize, bag and distribute food
  • Straighten and stack donated bags to streamline the bagging process
  • Break down cardboard boxes

When we launch the Pantry Store:

  • Stock shelves
  • Staff on Tue & Thu evenings

When it’s convenient for you:

  • Mow, clean, and maintain the facilities

Talent

If you are detail oriented, good on the computer, or connected on social media:

  • Learn to check in neighbors who need help and see what other help they need
  • Weigh and track donated food
  • Help manage the website, Facebook, Instagram and NextDoor sites
  • Like, Share and Comment on communications engaging the community

Treasure

Your network is valuable. The more people who understand the mission, the more successful we will be.

  • Share the message with friends, neighbors, family, and groups you belong to
  • Help us coordinate and collaborate with other Helpers in the community.

Donate items:

  • Travel-size toiletries
  • Plastic grocery bags
  • Refrigerator / freezer units
  • Shelving
  • Shopping carts
  • Small shopping carts or baskets
  • Trades (electric, plumbing, carpentry)

Sometimes, money is the answer. Please:

  • Give at any level that’s comfortable for you
  • Join our Circle of Sharing
